dbpSetAutoEdit

Purpose:

Changes can be discarded using dbpCancelEdits. AutoEdit is set to on automatically when opening a table.

Syntax:

dbpSetAutoEdit "database id" "table" "status"

database id

The name assigned to the database.

table

The name of the table.

status

The status of the AutoEdit feature. Use Yes to turn AutoEdit on or No to turn it off.

dbpSaveEdits

Purpose:

Manually save changes to the current record. This Action is intended to be used in conjunction with dbpCancelEdits and dbpSetAutoEdit to manually control when table records are updated. However, you can also use this command whenever you want to manually save changes made to the current table record regardless of the status of dbpSetAutoEdit.

dbpCancelEdits

Purpose:

Abandon changes made to the current record. Any edits made to the current record are discarded and the record's previous field contents are restored. This Action is intended to be used in conjunction with dbpSaveEdits to manually control when table records are updated.
