NeoDBpro provides two types of printed reports - list-based simple reports and form-based advanced reports.

Simple Reports are printed in a tabular list which is similar in appearance to the on-screen grid created with the dbpShowgrid action. The report is created automatically using the color and font settings applied to the current table grid. Custom headers and footers may be added using the dbpListAddHeader and dbpListAddFooter actions. Simple reports are very easy to create, but control over the appearance, formatting and placement of data is limited. Below is an example of a typical simple report:

Advanced Reports are more difficult to create, but are highly customizable and can display more complicated types of data. Advanced reports can be designed to print mailing labels, lists, invoices, office forms complete with graphics and more. The appearance, formatting and placement of data is entirely customizable. Advanced reports are stored in special database report files (*.dbr) containing the layout, formatting, graphics, etc. that define the report. Report files are created using NeoDBpro's easy-to-use Report Designer utility. The Report Designer utilizes a VisualNEO for Windows-like interface allowing reports to be created interactively using simple drag and drop commands. Once created, report files can be printed from VisualNEO for Windows using the dbpPrintReport or dbpPreviewReport actions.
